## Overview

ACT Ports supports the port ecosystem to better understand and address nature, climate, and people-related risks, advancing integrated strategies that mitigate these challenges and create long-term economic and social benefits for industries and surrounding communities. ACT Ports is the port workstream under the World Economic Forum's ACT Ocean and the Transitioning Industrial Clusters initiatives, supported by Lloyd’s Register Foundation.

As global trade grows, ports face increasing challenges, including biodiversity loss, pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and habitat destruction.The report, 'Nature Positive: Role of the Port Sector' identifies how the sector can balance its vital economic role with the urgent need to safeguard nature. The report highlights five key priorities on how to transition to nature-positive.
