Con vos Fray (With You Fray)

SDGs Impacted

Nearby stores play a fundamental role in bringing products and services closer to their neighbors, and through someone they trust. These stores leverage innovation when they offer new technologies on a small scale that become essential. To this end, the UNDP Argentina Accelerator Lab launched the Con Vos Network (With You Network), a network of nearby stores where neighbors can carry out online procedures of different kinds. This report presents the results of the second pilot test that scales up this innovative grassroots solution connecting community markets with digital inclusion. It was implemented in Fray Mamerto Esquiú, province of Catamarca, Argentina, in partnership with the Municipal Government and the Undersecretariat of Administrative Innovation of the Chief of the National Cabinet of Ministers.

Impact / Outcome
The average distance saved per gender was of 7.8 km for women and of 5.3 km for men, which indicates that women, who are also most of the Con Vos Network users, live further away from urban centers. Women were again the majority of users in Concepción del Uruguay, where they also saved greater distances.
