The Accessible Kazakhstan startup project is a virtual map of the country that displays information about the accessibility of public facilities for people with limited mobility. Since 2021, the project has been implemented by the Public Foundation "Tandau Foundation" with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in partnership with the international technopark of IT start-ups Astana Hub. Significant work has been done to refine the information system to meet the requirements and standards of digital public goods.
Impact / Outcome App users can use the service for people with mobility disabilities and people with special needs (and these are people with disabilities, parents with small children in wheelchairs, the elderly, pregnant, temporarily injured people, children under 7 years old). The project does not only map objects, but it also brings together a large team of like-minded people and promotes an accessible and safe environment for children and people with disabilities.
