Summary

DigitalAccess@Home provides low-income families with subsidised fibre broadband services, laptops and tablets. Eligible families have a choice of a laptop or tablet and 2 broadband speeds. Once chosen, these devices are delivered to their doorsteps, and broadband equipment installed at their homes free-of-charge. They pay subsidised rates that are determined by means-testing or household income. To simplify the application process, IMDA works with other government agencies to identify eligible families so that they are offered the scheme pre-emptively when applying for other social/financial assistance. In addition, training on computer literacy is also offered free to beneficiaries of the scheme.
