myGov is a digital platform created by the government of Bangladesh to offer all of its digital services in one place, resulting in reduced paper usage, simplified processes, lower costs, and fewer delays in service delivery. MyGov has brought unification and simplification of government services, boosted digitalization, improved customer knowledge, increased transparency and accountability, and ensured good governance through e-governance.
Hundreds of government services are now at the fingertips of the country’s citizens through MyGov app or website.
Already more than 2.2 million citizens of the country have received various government services using this app that currently provides 1,609 types of government services.
Since myGov adds simplicity to provide citizen centric public service, the global interest for this is noteworthy. As part of knowledge and experience sharing facilitated under South South Cooperation, the myGov platform has been replicated in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Republic of Philippines; in collaboration with Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) and with support from UNDP Philippines as Digital Bangsamoro.
