Alumni Skills Accelerator

## Accelerator Impact

In-depth consultation meetings and workshops were held and attended by Task Force Founding Members to review and identify the key skills gaps, opportunities and leverage points for the Accelerator. Working groups were subsequently established and focused on five key objectives: Commit to providing the workforce with broad-based access to training, reskilling and upskilling opportunities.Partner with EdTech platforms on skills accreditation and align micro-credentials with national standards and qualification frameworks.Explore opportunities to introduce apprenticeships into “non-traditional” sectors.Support the creation of skills training bonds and individual learning accounts at a company and national level.Pilot the set-up of a big data driven labour market information tool for India.

## Accelerator Story

In collaboration with the National Skills Development Corporation, India’s Skills Accelerator was launched in October 2018 in New Delhi and co-chaired by the (former) Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India and the Chief Executive Officer of Infosys.
