## Accelerator Impact

Designed 3 thematic public-private initiatives and several sector-level, public-private roundtables to improve alignment between skills and jobs.Completed future job market foresight studies.Alignment on critical skills: strengthening soft skills among children and youth; enhancing basic digital know-how among children and youth; and improving relevant job-specific skills.In 2023, Oman launched Khuta, a national career guidance platform offering students and job seekers access to many services such as career advice, CV tools, Entrepreneurial Traits and Career Interests Assessment Tests, and free courses that align with the Oman Future Skills Framework.


## Accelerator Story

Oman’s Vision 2040 has prioritised employment and the labour market with the aim of developing a highly productive, innovative, and skilled workforce.  Local skills development will be essential as the country prepares to train a dynamic and future-ready workforce.Oman’s Skills Accelerator was launched in 2019 by the Ministry of Labour.   Since January 2022, Oman’s Future Skills Initiative has been placed under the Ministry of Labour’s Tashgeel programme and is embarking on its second cycle. In line with its strategic priority of a highly skilled workforce, Oman’s Skills Accelerator also supports measures to adapt recruitment laws, policies and standards.
