# Workforce Resilience to Extreme Heat

A cross-industry platform to build and scale solutions

## Closing the Implementation Gap

As global temperatures rise, extreme heat events are becoming increasingly frequent, exposing workforces globally to adverse health impacts. This workstream brings together leaders from industry, government and the public sector, to identify and scale cost-effective solutions to protect workforces and strengthen the resilience of business operations.

**22.8 million** occupational injuries recorded each year due to extreme heat

**65% workforce** exposed to extreme heat risks globally

**US $2.4 trillion** projected annually in productivity losses by 2030

## What we do

This workstream supports business and public-sector leaders in understanding and responding to workforce heat risks through peer dialogue, evidence-based insights, and practical implementation tools.

### Virtual dialogue

Sessions bring together leading business and public sector actors to share experiences, support peer-learning and shape the private-sector agenda on workforce heat resilience.

### Research & Insights

We produce evidence-based insights drawing on real-world implementation experience to identify barriers, validate approaches, and support business case development.

### Decision-support tools

We develop practical tools to help organisations quantify the business impact of extreme heat on their operations and identify cost-effective resilience solutions.
