CareMessage is a 501(c)3 organization and one of the largest patient engagement platforms for underserved populations in the United States. CareMessage helps power the care for nearly 7 million underserved patients at nearly 400 safety-net organizations nationwide (including one in every seven community health centres nationally) who receive timely healthcare information, preventive care reminders, appointment reminders, local resources, and health coaching through interactive voice and text messaging. Over the past 10 years, it has helped facilitate 335 million messages between hundreds of safety-net healthcare providers and 16.8 million patients in 48 US states. It was founded in 2012 at Stanford University.
