Our biology-based approach gives waste carbon a new life by recycling it into more sustainable versions of the critical chemical building blocks necessary for everyday products, which are typically sourced from virgin fossil carbon. LanzaTech’s carbon biorecycling technology is already in use at commercial scale for energy-intensive industries, like steel manufacturing and fuel production, as well as in key supply chains across the consumer packaged goods and apparel industries. Our continuous, biology-based process produces steady, predictable outputs from chaotic inputs at industrial scale. It’s also flexible, allowing industrial partners to use the same bioreactor hardware to intake multiple kinds of carbon-rich feedstocks, and produce multiple different chemicals.
