1. Orca: Climeworks' first commercial DAC plants has been operational since September 2021, with a capacity to capture up to 4000t of atmospheric CO₂ per annum by adsorption on a solid sorbent. The captured CO₂ is then stored deep underground via geological mineralization realized by Carbfix's method, whereby over 95% of injected CO₂ turns into stone within 2 years. Climeworks' DAC technology and Carbix method for geological storage guaraantees permanent and safe Carbon Dioxide Removal. The process is also entirely measurable and has been validated and verified by a third party DNV, using the world’s first full-chain certification methodology dedicated to CDR via direct air capture (DAC) and underground mineralization storage. 2. Mammoth: Climeworks' second commercial scale DAC plants, expected to become operation by the end of 2023, has a planned capacity to capture and permanentaly store up to 40,000t of atmospheric CO₂ per annum by adsorption on a solid sorbent. The CO₂ storage via geological mineralization will be realized by Carbfix's method. Climeworks' DAC technology and Carbfix method for geological storage guaraantees permanent and safe Carbon Dioxide Removal, and the process is also entirely measurable and will be verified by a third party DNV once it becomes operational using the world’s first full-chain certification methodology dedicated to CDR via direct air capture (DAC) and underground mineralization storage. 3. Megatonne Plants: Climeworks' first megatonne capacity DAC plants are currently in FEED study stage, expected to become operational in 2027 and ramping up to full capacity in 2030 to capture up to 1,000,000t of atmospheric CO₂ per annum by adsorption on a solid sorbent. The captured CO₂ will then be stored via geological mineralization, guaranteeing permanent and safe Carbon Dioxide Removal. The process will also be entirely measurable and will be verified by a third party once it becomes operational using the world’s first full-chain certification methodology dedicated to CDR via direct air capture (DAC) and underground mineralization storage.
