Introducing E-Jet®, fossil-free jet fuel made from electrified CO2. E-Jet fuel conforms with the ASTM D7566 specification for blending up to 50% with conventional fuel. When produced using renewable electricity, Twelve’s fuel achieves up to 90% lower lifecycle CO2 emissions compared to conventional jet fuel, or about 9 kilograms of CO2 reductions for each gallon of fuel. Researchers have also found that because of their low soot content, synthetic fuels such as Twelve’s reduce the substantial warming impact of aviation contrails. Twelve obtains CO2 feedstock primarily from biogenic sources such as ethanol plants, pulp and paper mills, and waste processing facilities. In the future, we also plan to obtain CO2 from direct air capture.
