Primary aluminium at less than < 3 t of CO2 per tonne of aluminium will be produced by Hydro by 2030 using the following decarbonization methods: electrical boilers, fuel switch to natural gas / hydrogen, raw material switch from petroleum coke to biomass in annodes, and electrification in the bauxite and alumina value chain. Products will be verified by DNV.
