This project will utilize the proprietary electrolyzer technology of Siemens Energy to convert water to hydrogen through electrolysis to ultimately produce unrefined ammonia. The facility will utilize solar power, with MMEX’s water supply to produce up to 55 tons of hydrogen production per day. The potential markets would be the major metropolitan areas in Texas to include Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. The project aims to 1) convert the hydrogen to ammonia to facilitate transportation of the finished product for marketing in the U.S. domestic ammonia market and 2) provide turn-key hydrogen fueling stations and buses utilizing hydrogen fuel cells.
