Summary

Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) is an essential means of delivering these GHG removals (GGR). Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is one such BECCS technology, capable of capturing a highly concentrated stream of biogenic CO2 – i.e. carbon which originates from the atmosphere. This carbon can subsequently be stored within geological reservoirs for over 10,000 years, locking it away from the atmosphere. This process acts to reverse GHG emissions. At the forefront of this ground-breaking initiative is Future Biogas, contributing to develop a market for innovative solutions to achieve significant carbon reductions.
