Summary

Building on a successful pilot that delivered 91t of CO2 removals, Arca is developing the Tjiwarl-Arca CDR Project that will be executed on mine tailings storage facilities located within the traditional lands of the Tjiwarl Nation, an aboriginal people of Western Australia. The project will utilize Arca's Smart Churning process to significantly accelerate the natural rate of mineralization of CO2 from air into alkaline mine waste. A robust MRV methodology that measures direct carbon flux using commercially available equipment supports the process. The project will produce highly durable (10,000+ years), highly quantifiable capture and storage within the existing footprints of the mines' waste storage facilities.
