VerdeGo's VH-3 hybrid powerplant is built upon a certified aviation diesel-cycle engine and delivers 185kW power output. The VH-3 uses conventional jet fuels (Jet A, Jet-A1, and JP-8) for compatibility with existing fueling infrastructure or Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for maximum sustainability and the potential for net zero emissions. The VH-3 is intended for use across a wide variety of flight vehicle configurations, including eVTOL, eSTOL, and eCTOL. Toward this end, the VH-3 can accommodate a mechanical output shaft that allows for parallel, series, or blended power output, providing flexibility for a larger number of possible configurations. The VH-3's Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) of 227 Wh/kg (0.37 lb/hp-hr), approximately 40% less than competing turbine-hybrid systems, translates linearly to an equivalent advantage in emissions and direct operating costs when compared to turbine-based hybrid powerplants.
