Siemens deployed over 300 fast intelligent substations powering charging infrastructure for electric cars and trucks with a digital product: Electrification X. The substations are equipped with a digital solution which provides dynamic load management. The solution actively manages the electricity demand of the vehicle charging so the grid does not get overloaded. The system alleviates grid congestion and implements peak shaving, minimizing the need for grid infrastructure investments and improving charging economics.
