## Good Governance in the Energy Transition (GET)

A workstream of the PACI Community.

As the world strides toward the ambitious net-zero target by 2050, the urgency to accelerate the energy transition has never been more critical.  The National Energy Agency forecasts a need for $2.2 trillion in annual investments by 2030 for upgrading infrastructure, including electricity networks and CO2 mitigation technologies. Yet, there's a significant gap in understanding the governance needed for this transformation.Effective governance is paramount not only for ensuring the rapid and equitable deployment of renewable energy resources but also for mitigating the myriad risks associated with the transition.


## What is PACI doing?

The GET workstream aims to define and map governance issues related to the energy transition and establish principles and guidelines to support stakeholders in addressing governance risks associated with energy value chains.The goal is to collaborate with industry and public sector leaders to prioritize transparency and design governance solutions that address risks potentially hampering the energy transition.
