# Application Process

## Selection process and timeline

Applications open twice a year in fall and spring, with cohort announcements in the summer and winter.


### 1. Initial Application

In this first step, organizations share key details about their AI-enabled transformation through the submission of a survey, including information about the organization, industry, core functions, and the challenge that motivated the transformation. This stage helps assess the relevance, significance, and uniqueness of each application.


### 2. First Screening

The World Economic Forum team will select a first shortlist of the most impactful applications. Shortlisted teams will be invited to participate in a deeper review, including a virtual two-hour meeting to verify key performance indicators (KPIs), assess realised and projected impact, and see a live demonstration of the application.


### 3. Deep Dive Session

Shortlisted applicants are invited to a virtual meeting with the WEF team to:See a live demo of the application.Verify key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and overall value. Ensure full understanding of the context and relevance of the application.


### 4. External Experts Review

Final shortlisting stage takes place with external experts (trusted delegates selected by Impact Council). External Experts are provided with an anonymized report summarising each application, which is first verified by the applicants. Based on this, the External Experts & WEF Team select the final shortlist to be advanced to Impact Council.


### 5. Impact Council Review

At the end of each application cycle, the MINDS team will support the final candidates in finalising their submissions before presenting them to the Impact Council. The Council will then evaluate the shortlisted transformations and select the teams that will be recognized in the cohort. All applications will be anonymised to ensure fairness in the process.


### 6. Recognition & Announcement

Selected Teams receive the official announcement of the recognition and inviting  them to join the community.
