Blendhub: Building resilient and shared food production infrastructure

SDGs Impacted

Blendhub is a family-owned Spanish food solutions company that developed a production model designed to reduce reliance on a single factory and location. Its Portable Powder Blending units can be replicated and deployed in different markets using common production processes, quality systems and digital tools.

Through its Food-as-a-Service model, Blendhub enables entrepreneurs, SMEs, multinational companies, governments and humanitarian organisations to use shared production infrastructure without building their own factories. Users retain ownership of their products and formulations, while sharing the infrastructure and certifications required for production.

The company has also applied principles of replication and documentation to leadership and knowledge continuity through formal governance and digital operating records. Blendhub’s approach illustrates how distributed production, shared infrastructure and documented processes can support continuity when supply routes or operating conditions change.

Impact / Outcome
Blendhub continued delivering to Saudi customers despite the 2026 Gulf disruption by rerouting supplies through Jeddah. Its Food-as-a-Service model enables food and beverage companies to launch products in under 90 days without building their own factory. The company also completed a second-generation leadership transition while continuing to grow.
