The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, “Rights, Equality, and Empowerment for All Women and Girls,” calls for action to unlock equal opportunities and drive progress, ensuring no one is left behind. It is well established that advancements in women’s health play a crucial role in fostering social and economic prosperity, benefiting society as a whole. However, protecting and promoting women’s health is impossible without women leading the agenda and being at the forefront of decision-making. "A seat at the table and a hand in the menu: Women’s Health as the Foundation of Rights, Equality and Empowerment for All" will explore the critical need for greater women’s participation and representation across social, political and economic spheres. By amplifying women’s voices in these areas, women’s health advances and the fundamental principles of rights, equality and empowerment for all are reinforced.
