Engage in the Workplace Mental Health initiative

Description

The Centre for Health and Healthcare extends an opportunity to visionary academic institutions to collaborate on shaping the critical mission of Mental Health in the Workplace. An estimated 15% of working-age adults currently suffer from a mental health disorder, driving the estimated cost to global economy to 1 trillion USD a year. Building on the foundation of the WHO’s Guidelines on Mental Health at Work, our centre aims to curate transformative insights, highlight best practices, and develop robust evaluation frameworks to support employees suffering from mental health disorders worldwide.

Contributors

PhD students or experts with a strong background in the realm of mental health and preferably experience with public-private partnerships and social innovation at scale.

Value Proposition

By embracing this academic engagement, your institution becomes a hub for experts and thought leaders dedicated to elevating mental health in workplaces. As a knowledge partner, your contributions will resound globally, igniting transformation and innovation in workplaces. Moreover, your pioneering efforts will be prominently acknowledged on our platform and other influential publications, establishing your institution as a luminary in the field.

Opportunity

The partnering academic institution, in tandem with the Centre for Health and Healthcare, will shape the framework of the engagement program over a two-year period.

The engagement in this initiative will involve dissecting challenges, sculpting best practices, and forging comprehensive evaluation matrices, all pivotal to catalyzing a paradigm shift in workplace well-being. The compiled findings will be published in a community/insight paper, which includes but is not limited to landscape analysis, industry trends and evaluation matrices. These insights will shape the narrative of mental health in workplaces, imparting tangible guidance to organizations and communities striving for enhanced well-being.

Time commitment

While flexible, we envisage the institutional relationship to last approximately two years. The specific commitment for each involved student/expert should be substantive and can be jointly agreed upon by the academic institution and the Forum.
