This project strengthens the competitiveness and sustainability of South Africa’s mining sector by supporting the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies.

It will identify key challenges such as infrastructure limitations, skills gaps, and low technology uptake, and help companies develop tailored transformation plans.

Using global best practices and practical tools, the project will improve operational performance and promote wider adoption across the sector, while increasing international visibility and opportunities for replication.
