Alumni Skills Accelerator

## Accelerator Impact

Through the Accelerator, Co-chairs established the public-private partnership Future Skills Centre of Excellence that aims to bring about systemic change through high quality technical education reforms at the tertiary and technical college levels. This includes the development of continuing education programmes for adults, micro-credential certifications, and an ongoing effort to identify the priority technical and soft skills in which Cambodia should invest in order to increase the availability of qualified professionals.

## Accelerator Story

Cambodia’s Skills Accelerator was launched at the Sustainable Development Impact Summit in 2021. It was led by a high-level Steering Committee that included the Minister of Public Works and Transport; the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports; and senior directors of private sector companies including IDP Education, Lyhour Group, and World Bridge. The International Business Chamber of Cambodia served as the Accelerator’s Coordinator and drew on the support of the founder of Shif360, and the Executive Director of IBC.
