Keeping pace with a changing financial landscape

As financial systems become increasingly demanding and complex, both the private and public sectors must innovate to keep pace with the rapidly changing environment. Supervisory technology (suptech) enables financial supervisors to have better oversight over regulated institutions. Regulatory technology (regtech) aims to reduce the complexity and expense of required monitoring, reporting, and compliance tasks for financial institutions that must adapt to an evolving regulatory landscape.

Our Advancing Regulatory and Supervisory Technology initiative supports the digital transformation of financial supervision and regulation and improves global coordination, with the ultimate goal of strengthening the financial system.

More about our workstreams

Public-Private Secondments for Suptech Innovation (PPSSI)

This program pairs industry experts with global regulators for short-term secondments to deliver suptech solutions.  The secondments accelerate the adoption of suptech solutions, digital transformation strategies, data governance frameworks and more at financial authorities within emerging markets and developing economies.

This workstream also increases awareness of public sector practices within the private sector and provides the opportunity to expand industry expertise to a new environment.

We are now accepting expressions of interest for our 2026 cohort.
