About the AI Governance Alliance

The AI Governance Alliance, an initiative by the World Economic Forum's Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, brings together top leaders from industry, government, academia, and civil society. By promoting the development and deployment of AI systems that are transparent, inclusive, and ethically sound, the Alliance aims to drive innovation and growth. The Alliance is committed to establishing global standards for AI governance, ensuring that technological advancements contribute positively to societal well-being and are guided by a strong commitment to ethics and diversity.

A global platform with more than 460 partners

Launched in June 2023 after the Responsible AI Leadership Summit, the AI Governance Alliance, led by the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, now comprises over 603 members from more than 463 organizations globally. The Alliance is the utmost platform uniting leaders from   industry, government, academia, and civil society, promoting responsible AI to drive industry and economic growth. It focuses on AI development and safety, fostering innovation, and developing effective governance frameworks, with the aim of advancing AI in ways that benefit society while keeping pace with regulatory and technological changes.
