The Uttar Pradesh Department of Horticulture and Food Processing (DoHFP) has collaborated with the World Economic Forum C4IR India to form a council called Digital Agriculture Promotion Council (DAEP).

The department partnered with six leading private sector companies and Access Assist as the Project Management Unit. Key focus is to enhance potato, mango, turmeric, garlic, and green peas value chains through agritech interventions.

On the sidelines, around 2,000 farmers at five hi-tech nursery locations have actively participated in training programs supported by private sector partners and the department aimed at promoting best practices and importance of hi-tech nurseries.

The Agri Sarathi digital platform is now live and has successfully reached 472,500 farmers, onboarded 11 FPOs, and integrated 225,000 women farmers (90% of total digital integration) to create a significant shift by incorporating traceability and commerce for comprehensive value chain transformation.

On the policy front, Forum in collaboration with Deloitte co-jointly worked on "UP Agritech Policy" approved by UP Cabinet in July 2024.
