C4IR India
The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) India was launched in October 2018 by the Prime Minister of India with the aim of driving the adoption and responsible deployment of emerging technologies in India.
A collaboration between the World Economic Forum, coordinated by the NITI Ayog, the launch of the centre is part of the World Economic Forum's global network of centres for the Fourth Industrial Revolution
The C4IR India has taken a three-pillared approach to its initiatives, which includes constituting a multi-stakeholder community, enabling insight reports and frameworks and helping to design, pilot, and scale targeted solutions. It has also prioritized impact through its initiatives by working with partners to design and scale solutions that address specific challenges, and by collecting and sharing evidence to inform decision-making and policy development.
Over the last six years, the centre has brought together experts from government, the private sector, civil society and academia to address challenges and seize opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
As we look to the future, C4IR India will spearhead transformative initiatives with a sharp focus on impact.

Agriculture: AI4AI
Focusing on public–private partnerships (PPPs), this initiative uses digital and AI-enabled technologies in agriculture to help accelerate food production in developing countries to enhance food security.
AI for India 2030
A pioneering global multi-stakeholder initiative, AI for India 2030 unites industry leaders, academic institutions, civil society organizations and governments in order to investigate what are the strategic implications of AI in different industries and sectors in India and contribute to a globally agreed understanding of responsible adoption of AI.
Space Economy India
This initiative seeks to develop a multi-stakeholder initiative to identify opportunities, shape policies and come up with sustainable solutions in India’s space sector while also contributing towards global space sustainability and innovation.
AVIATE India
This initiative is aimed at developing a roadmap for responsible adoption of responsible advanced air mobility (AAM) across India and position itself in as a leader in the AAM sector while supporting pilot activities in collaboration with the Aviation Ministry and regulatory bodies.
Healthcare
Through collaborations, this initiative is designed at accelerating the adoption of digital health initiatives across India through building collective will, charting out a clear path, and developing an enabling environment through dialogue, blueprints and capacity building with different stakeholders.

The report puts forward its vision of enhancing India’s place in the technological landscape of the global south and reaching 10 million population by bringing about socio-economic change through transformative technologies and scalable solutions.
