### C4IR India hosted a workshop in March 2024 launching a program on the 'Future of Space Technology: India'. The workshop explored India's space sector and its potential for global impact. The workshop had a diverse set of discussion leaders including officials from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe), the country's space policy & promotional arm. ### The Union Budget for the FY 2024-25 was presented in the Lok Sabha (Lower House) of the Indian Parliament yesterday (i.e 23rd July 2024). The Union Budget for 2024-25 has introduced a dedicated venture capital fund of ₹1,000 crore to bolster the Indian space economy, as announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This initiative aims to enhance innovation and support the growth of the space sector, which has gained momentum following successful missions like Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya L-1.
