As global risks intensify, from geopolitical tensions and social instability to environmental disruptions, property insurance in high-exposure regions is strained by shrinking coverage and growing protection gaps.Launched in Davos in January 2026, the "Insurability in a Changing World" dialogue brings together senior leaders from industry, finance and the public sector to design and scale solutions to keep physical assets insurable, safeguard communities, and strengthen the resilience of the global economy.

January 2025 I Extreme heat is the deadliest climate risk, responsible for 489,000 deaths annually – more than floods, hurricanes, earthquakes and wildfires combined. It is also rapidly becoming the costliest climate risk, projected to result in $2.4 trillion in annual productivity losses and $445 billion in annual fixed-asset losses for publicly listed companies by 2035.
