# Cybercrime Atlas Hosted by the World Economic Forum ## Building a shared knowledge base to disrupt cybercrime The Cybercrime Atlas community uses open-source research to create new insights into the cybercriminal ecosystem.Cybercrime Atlas participants use this research to disrupt cybercrime and mitigate the impact of cyber attacks. ### Cybercrime is global Cybercrime groups are large, distributed across borders and can access complex technical infrastructure while relying on a growing ecosystem of online criminal services. ### Knowledge of cybercrime is fragmented Cyber defenders lack systemic knowledge of cybercrime and have difficulty seeing the full extent of a cybercriminal group's activities. ### Responses to cybercrime are disjointed Cybercrime is transnational but responses are localised. This makes effective and coherent disruption of cybercrime challenging. ## Cybercrime Atlas "Cosmos" Cosmos, developed by the Cybercrime Atlas community, is an open source, ontology-based knowledge graph that maps the global cybercrime ecosystem, connecting criminal groups, tools, infrastructure and financial enablers into a single integrated framework. It transforms fragmented intelligence into a collaborative, system-level map that helps defenders, policymakers, and investigators understand connections, coordinate globally, and work together against cybercrime.
