The Global Shapers Frankfurt Hub is a vibrant community of individuals committed to taking action with the objective of improving the state of the world – with a particular focus on Frankfurt and its surroundings. We want to drive action through projects that foster collaboration, innovation, and smart solutions addressing current and future challenges of our society. We see ourselves as an organization building bridges between different stakeholders to drive positive societal change.

Our Hub-specific recruiting cycle takes place twice a year and we will announce it on this website and via social media. In the meantime, you can signal your interest through this Google Forms. You can also contact us through the general Global Shapers recruiting link, but this does not replace our Hub-specific recruiting process.

What are our projects?

• In our flagship project, Shaping Pathways, we aim to give disadvantaged youth from Frankfurt and its surroundings a hand in transitioning into adulthood. In particular, we work with young people aged 13-19 y.o., who attend the less academic tracks of the German school system and thereby remain exempt from many existing opportunities. Check it out here. The centrepiece of Shaping Pathways is the so-called Buddy Program, in which we match adolescents with Senior Buddies, who are typically students or young professionals and serve as reference persons for all arising matters. Since 2023, Shaping Pathways has been enlarging its focus on school-to-job transitions and aims to create practical and barrier-free formats to facilitate youth's information and labour market access.
• Another prominent project in our Hub is our Sustainability Initiative, in which we work together to bring sustainability nearer to our local community. We are currently launching a website that enables shoppers to buy and recycle fashion items sustainably. Stay tuned for what is to come!
• In the Global Shapers Seminar Series, we invite hand-picked speakers to share their learnings with our community and beyond. After each presentation, we engage in discussions about how to make the learnings more implementable in our daily lives.
• Since 2023, we organise the annual Run in the Dark in Frankfurt, an international charity run raising funds to cure paralysis in our lifetime. In 2023, the run welcomed 25,000+ runners in 50+ cities worldwide. You can find more information on the run (and register for it) here.
• Additionally, we are currently working on multiple ideas for projects & cross-hub initiatives - stay tuned for more information!
