The DefInSpace hackathon, organised by France’s Space Command (Commandement de l’Espace), is a national event focused on space defence and security challenges. Aimed largely at students and young professionals, the hackathon brings together over 200 participants for 24 hours to develop innovative solutions related to space situational awareness (SSA) and other strategic space issues. The event fosters creativity, technical problem-solving, and early engagement with real-world space challenges, helping to build a pipeline of skilled youth for the national space ecosystem.
