# About the Global Coalition for Digital Safety

## The pace of digital change necessitates innovative solutions and collaboration.

Digital safety must evolve as quickly as the digital ecosystem itself. New technologies, shifting user behaviours, and adaptive adversaries are making online harms more complex—from exploitation and manipulation to disinformation, fraud, and technology-facilitated abuse.Addressing these challenges requires coordinated action across governments, industry, civil society, and communities. This includes developing agile safety tools, strengthening accountability, improving risk assessment, and advancing and aligning regulations, which reflect broader efforts to create safer digital spaces while supporting innovation and protecting fundamental rights.

## More about our initiative

## Advancing safety in the digital environment

Established in 2021, the Global Coalition for Digital Safety aims to maintain online safety as a central priority for organizations. As technology and threat actors evolve, organizations must strengthen efforts to mitigate harms and protect those at risk. The Coalition in its multi-stakeholder composition across brings together industry, civil society, governments, regulators, and academia, leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise to take a holistic approach to advancing global digital safety action.Through interviews, workshops, and research, we gather insights to create a series of reports that provide toolkits, frameworks, and guides on elements of digital safety for today and the future.
