## About the Global Future Council on Artificial General Intelligence

Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) represents the next era of artificial intelligence, aiming to create machines with human-like cognitive abilities and self-teaching capabilities.  As we strive towards this ambitious goal, significant socio-economic opportunities and technical challenges such as control and safety emerge. How can we explore the path to AGI and the critical role of open source in addressing technical, ethical, and societal implications of advanced self-learning systems?
