## Connecting legal leaders across industries and regions

Our Community of Chief Legal Officers (CLOs) is a global, peer community of senior-most executives responsible for legal strategy and corporate governance from World Economic Forum partner companies.

## An opportunity to support and strengthen the rule of law.

Through the Forum’s platform, Chief Legal Officers (CLOs) convene with peers and policymakers to shape responses to emerging legal and regulatory challenges. With their cross-functional mandate and enterprise-wide visibility, CLOs provide distinctive insights at the intersection of business performance, governance and societal license – advancing responsible and resilient business practices.

## Areas of focus

### Good governance and the rule of law

Empowering legal, compliance and technology teams within organizations to strengthen rule of law, increase transparency, and improve business integrity.

### Regulatory and policy coherence

Driving thought leadership on pressing legal issues as they arise, from generative artificial intelligence to climate governance.

## Impact

Building integrity through collective action fosters trust, reduces risks and helps medium-sized enterprises (MEs) integrate into global supply chains.Medium-sized enterprises often face challenges in maintaining robust integrity systems, particularly given limited resources. In response, the World Economic Forum partnered with Transparency International to develop a practical toolkit that supports companies in implementing proportionate anti-corruption measures and embedding a culture of integrity. The launch of the toolkit was complemented by in-person training sessions for MEs in Brazil, Mexico, India and South Africa.
