Founded in 2004 by Chief Executive Officers from World Economic Forum Partner companies, the Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) is the Forum's global platform on business integrity and responsible governance. Building on two decades of CEO leadership, PACI convenes business, government, civil society, academia and international organizations to advance trusted governance, address emerging integrity challenges and promote responsible business conduct.


## Turning commitment into real action

PACI's mission is centered on strengthening corporate integrity and governance by fostering collaboration, advancing thought leadership and enabling organizations to build trust, resilience and long-term value. It's vision is a world where integrity and responsible governance are recognized as strategic drivers of trust, resilience and sustainable competitiveness.


## PACI Principles

PACI signatories commit to the six principles below:


**1** Set the “tone at the top” through a visible and active leadership commitment to zero tolerance of corruption in all its forms.

**2** Build an internal commitment to a culture of integrity that encourages, recognizes and provides positive support for ethical conduct.

**3** Foster transparency throughout the organization and in interactions with stakeholders.

**4** Comply with the letter and spirit of all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where signatories operate and transact their business.

**5** Encourage and provide support to business partners to uphold the same ethical standards that PACI members observe.

**6** Engage in PACI and other collective action initiatives to bring a coordinated response to the challenge of corruption, whether in specific geographies or industry sectors.

## Impact

Building integrity through collective action fosters trust, reduces risks and helps medium-sized enterprises (MEs) integrate into global supply chains.Medium-sized enterprises often face challenges in maintaining robust integrity systems, particularly given limited resources. In response, the World Economic Forum partnered with Transparency International to develop a practical toolkit that supports companies in implementing proportionate anti-corruption measures and embedding a culture of integrity. The launch of the toolkit was complemented by in-person training sessions for MEs in Brazil, Mexico, India and South Africa.
