Infrastructure Financing for Climate Resilience and Sustainable Development

The Private Infrastructure Development Group is actioning a new strategy to accelerate the flows of public and private finance deployed for climate action and sustainable development. In order to deliver on this strategy, PIDG will double their commitments to $1bn per year by 2030; achieving $7bn of new commitments in 2023-2030, and mobilizing additional capital so that they support infrastructure worth $25bn in 10 years. Through this strategy, they aim to improve climate resilience and economic opportunities for 100 million people by 2030. Over half of their commitments will go to fragile and conflict affected states and least developed countries. All investments they make will contribute to climate resilience, adaptation or mitigation, prioritising nature preservation and regeneration.
