The BUILD Fund, a partnership between UNCDF and Bamboo Capital Partners, is an innovative blended impact finance vehicle designed to bring finance to SMEs that have the potential for strong development impact in the Least Developed Countries and other developing economies. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has allocated US$10 million to the Fund specifically to support SMEs in Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Fund and its sidecar Technical Assistance Facility were launched in Zimbabwe at a special event in Harare on December 13th-14th to engage with SMEs interested in applying for funding and potential Technical Assistance providers.
