### Dedicated Supply Chain Decarbonization Target

Vestas has an ambitious carbon reduction goal of reducing carbon emissions from their supply chain by 45% per MWh delivered to the market by 2030.

### Supplier Engagement for Decarbonization

To achieve the supply chain target Vestas has identified its 50 strategic suppliers, which are making up approx. 50% of Vestas’ material spend. These suppliers are required to measure and set scope 1 and 2 emission targets by 2030 without using offsets and are getting support by Vestas in developing their own strategies to measure and reduce their emissions. Suppliers are expected to set targets for scope 3 emissions aligned with Vestas’ scope 3 sustainability ambitions.Based on Vestas own scope 3 footprint, they have the ambition to redesign wind turbines with less carbon-intensive materials. Therefore, Vestas has chosen a physical intensity-based target, which incentivizes sustainability partnerships with suppliers who reduce carbon emissions. It also allows for the continued growth of the renewable energy sector, which is a critical element of the global decarbonization journey.
