
# National Space Strategy Toolkit

The aim of the National Space Strategy Toolkit is to support national actors in developing sustainable, efficient and focused space strategies to ensure that the benefits of space technologies and applications can be maximised across societies and economies. The Toolkit will provide step-by-step guidance, recommendations based on best practices and lessons learned from space actors around the world, and useful quantitative information for nations to build an effective space strategy and programme. The Toolkit and associated paper have been developed in collaboration with PwC.


### 1. Read the Briefing Paper

This is a high-level paper that provides users of the Toolkit an introduction to the benefits for nations investing in space and points of consideration when building a space strategy.Japanese version also available here

### 2. Understand the User Guide

Before taking the assessment through the Toolkit, users are recommended to first read the user guide to understand the methodology, definitions, and details of the Toolkit.

### 3. Take the Toolkit assessment

Users are encouraged to follow the steps in the toolkit assessment to generate recommendations based on their inputs.Users must log in or create a free account to access the Toolkit.

# Toolkit Methodology

Step 1 of the toolkit guides nations to define a high-level purpose, vision, mission and strategic objectives for the nation’s space strategy. Step 2 outlines how space can support a nation’s needs and provides recommendations on actions that can be carried out to build a space strategy and programme.
