Despite current challenges like relatively high interest rates and a difficult funding environment, history shows that periods of economic uncertainty often breed innovation.   Our Future of Venture Capital initiative brings together industry leaders to develop new strategies for adapting to emerging challenges and supporting innovation. The ultimate goal is to foster healthy entrepreneurship ecosystems worldwide, driving progress and positive change on a global scale.

## Unlocking New Pathways to Liquidity and Growth

This workstream brings together leading venture firms and limited partners to create a blueprint for the venture capital industry's next phase of growth. Through interviews, workshops, and quantitative analysis, we are collectively mapping emerging solutions for unlocking interim liquidity, building new growth playbooks and enhancing governance. Findings and recommendations will be published in a white paper in early 2026.


## VC-Founder Dialogues: Aligning Vision, Capital and Outcomes

This workstream convenes venture capital firms and start-up founders from the Forum's Innovators Communities. Through open dialogue we explore approaches for deepening understanding between VCs and founders and work to create alignment that transforms capital and vision into shared success. VC-Founder dialogues take place in person, in various locations across the globe, throughout the year.


## Improving Governance  in Venture Capital

This workstream addresses governance challenges and establishes best practices in the VC ecosystem, promoting responsible and sustainable investment strategies, with a focus on transparency, ethics, and sustainable growth. Workshops take place in person, in various locations across the globe, throughout the year. Depending upon workshop sub-topics, participants include senior investment professionals, innovators, and leaders from the public sector and civil society.
