## Mission

To accelerate the sustainable and equitable expansion of renewable power infrastructure globally.


## Context

With renewable energy capacity needing to triple by 2030, significant development of large infrastructure on both land and in the ocean will be crucial. As renewable energy infrastructure expands rapidly, it will increasingly intersect with local communities and natural ecosystems.Responsibly managing the impact of this significant infrastructure growth is essential for ensuring a rapid, sustainable and equitable energy transition for all.


## Our ambition

Mobilize business, civil society, government and other stakeholders to accelerate the deployment of renewables infrastructure by creating positive and equitable outcomes for people and nature.


### 1. Develop  a Collection of Use Cases

Develop a collection of case studies showcasing best-in-class renewable projects that highlight exemplary business practices and government leadership.


### 2. Convene Multistakeholder Dialogues

Convene mutlistakeholder dialogues amongst a high-impact network of government and business leaders, raising visibility, and fostering public-private collaboration to scale responsible deployment.

### Clean Energy as a Catalyst for a Nature-Positive Transition

Clean energy deployment has the potential to achieve 90% of the energy-related CO2  emission reduction needed to meet the Paris Agreement’s 1.5˚C ambition requiring a tripling of capacity by 2030 and a ninefold increase by 2050. Unless properly managed, land and sea use change associated with the clean energy transition could increase biodiversity conservation pressures by disturbing habitats, fragmenting ecosystems and affecting protected species in designated areas.
