As a highly valued partner in our work, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a personal update and some organisational changes with you.

From April this year, I am taking on a new role to oversee the Forum’s broader strategy and engagement efforts across Asia. While I will relinquish my role in the Centre for Nature and Climate, I will continue to stay close to the climate and nature work by taking the helm of the Centre for Energy and Materials (CENMAT). This shift will foster deeper synergies between these critical, interlinked agendas - amplifying the Forum’s ability to better serve its partners, drive industry transformation, accelerate innovation, and support economic growth and resilience across key markets.

It has been my honour and pleasure to know you and to work closely with you on building philanthropic-public-private partnerships for climate and nature. It is thanks to your leadership, partnership and commitment that we are able to jointly drive progress. You can count on my ongoing support in my new capacity as we continue to work together to protect and restore our global commons.

As part of the change, I will be relocating to Beijing in the second half of this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in the city!

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce to you my successor, Sebastian Buckup, whom I have copied, who is now taking the reins as Managing Director of the Centre for Nature and Climate. Sebastian is a truly inspirational leader with a long and distinguished career at the Forum and in both the public and private sectors. With his most recent leadership of the Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution network, Sebastian is uniquely positioned to harness innovation, cooperation and partnership to take our work to new heights.
