# About GAEA

Inspired by the Greek goddess of the Earth, GAEA aims to accelerate catalytic action for a climate and nature positive future.


## The challenge

Climate and nature action is unfolding in a more fragmented and volatile global context, shaped by geopolitical tension, fiscal pressure and rising inequality. At the same time, new pools of catalytic capital are emerging: global giving is approaching USD 1 trillion, the impact investing market has surpassed USD 1.5 trillion, and an estimated USD 80 trillion in wealth is expected to transfer to new stewards in the years ahead.


## What is still missing are trusted mechanisms to align this capital with the partnerships, market signals and enabling conditions needed to scale and sustain lasting solutions. GAEA works with Catalysts to play this role.
