## Introduction to the GAEA Awards

In a world where challenges are interconnected, individual efforts are not enough to meet the scale and urgency of the climate and nature crisis. We must shift from siloed efforts to innovative collaboration.


## The Giving to Amplify Earth Action (GAEA) Awards is the first global sustainability award to promote the need for radical cross-sector collaboration.The nominations period has been extended until June 16th.

The GAEA Awards recognize outstanding collaborative solutions driving impactful environmental action in support of global climate and nature goals. Launched by the World Economic Forum in 2024, the inaugural Awards honored five pioneering partnerships at the Annual Meeting in Davos. These winners are on a year-long journey of amplification and support, curated by the GAEA Awards.We are excited to expand the GAEA Awards community and discover the next cohort of transformative collaborations. We look forward to receiving nominations that showcase innovative, scalable, and high-impact partnerships that are accelerating progress on climate and nature.


## Award Categories

The GAEA Awards categories represent five key levers of change, based on established systems change frameworks. These categories focus on collaborations that shift mindsets, scale innovative solutions, transform industries, mobilize capital and demonstrate inclusive leadership. Collaborative scientific advancements and knowledge-based initiatives driving meaningful changes in policy, practices or public awareness in response to nature and climate challenges.


### Enabling Innovation Breakthroughs

Platforms and partnerships that create the conditions for groundbreaking technologies and innovations to reach their full transformative potential — by fostering cross-sector collaboration and cultivating ecosystems that enable innovation to flourish.


### Moving Business for Climate Impact

Partnerships between businesses that drive systemic change with the potential to transform entire value chains, ecosystems or industries.


### Unlocking Capital at Scale

Initiatives that rethink financing by strategically combining capital across the investment spectrum – leveraging public, private, and philanthropic resources to unlock transformative solutions at scale.


### Empowering Voices to Shape Action

Initiatives that foster inclusive collaboration across generations, sectors, and communities, rebalancing decision-making and elevating underrepresented voices in meaningful ways.
