## What is the Intergenerational Foresight Programme?

The Intergenerational Foresight Programme is designed to equip young leaders with the skills, networks and influence to embed intergenerational foresight into global decision-making.In collaboration with the World Economic Forum’s Global Foresight Network (GFN) and the Global Shapers Community, this programme empowers a cohort of emerging leaders to develop and advance policies that prioritize the interests of both present and future generations.

### Future26 Program Structure & Deliverables

The Future26 programme is structured in three phases, designed to build foresight capabilities while providing real-world engagement opportunities.*Note: this is a 9 month program from April to December 2026. Full participation is required once in the cohort.

### Thought Leadership Contributions

Offer perspectives on the role of foresight in shaping just, sustainable, and future-fit systems. These contributions serve to highlight participants’ thinking and position them as a voice in the growing discourse on long-term governance.


### Global Narrative Contribution

Amplify the initiative's impact beyond the cohort and reach a wider, more diverse audience, while capturing the key insights and learnings of the initiative in an institutional video produced by the World Economic Forum.


### Industry Foresight Intelligence-Driven Content

The cohort will apply foresight methodologies and deep dive into a range of industries to understand the most relevant signals, trends, dimensions of uncertainty, scenarios, wildcards, and strategies.  These outputs will produce a series of presentations and short white papers.


### Further Systematic Engagement with Shapers Hubs and Industries

The cohort will be experimenting with systematically collecting signals from Shapers' city hubs and becoming the custodian of the outputs. The signals, when pieced together, can create a coherent picture of where the world is heading.


### Who should apply?The programme is looking for passionate and ambitious young leaders:

1. Have experience or a strong interest in foresight, governance, policy innovation, or strategy2. Are committed to shaping policies and strategies that ensure long-term industry resilience3. Have strong collaborative and analytical skills4. Want to engage with high-level decision-makers and global institutions5. Have at least 3+ years of professional experience in a given industry
