As the world faces multiple challenges in achieving a sustainable, secure and equitable energy future, the integration of emerging technologies offers opportunities to shape systems that are adaptable, inclusive and forward looking. The transition to fit-for-2050 energy systems demands speeding up innovative technological solutions while taking a systemic approach to address societal, economic, and environmental dimensions.

How can stakeholders accelerate and leverage new technologies and innovative tech combinations in the coming decade to ensure fit for 2050 energy systems that take a holistic view on the energy transition?
