Green Fuel Forward is a campaign launched by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with GenZero to accelerate the adoption of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) in Asia-Pacific.

## Accelerating demand for sustainable aviation fuels in Asia-Pacific

Green Fuel Forward brings together corporates and airlines in the Asia-Pacific region to raise awareness of SAF and SAF certificates.Through SAF certificates, airlines and corporates can play a key role in supporting the technology development and cost reduction of greener jet fuel, helping to unlock carbon emissions reductions and accelerate the decarbonization of air travel. However, navigating the sustainability, accounting and procurement complexities of purchasing SAF and SAF certificates can be complex. This is particularly true in regions with a nascent regulatory environment and limited use of SAF to date, such as Asia-Pacific. Building greater understanding of SAF and SAF certificates among airlines and corporates can help boost demand for such products. This is what this campaign aims to do, complementing existing aviation decarbonization activities run by the World Economic Forum, including Airports of Tomorrow and the First Movers Coalition.

### Community effort

The campaign focuses on fostering information sharing and collaboration between corporations and airline operators in Asia Pacific to drive demand for SAF, offering companies an opportunity to learn from peers and leaders while testing the practicalities of SAF and SAFc procurement.

### Asia-Pacific focus

Green Fuel Forward seeks to bring together companies in Asia-Pacific interested in reducing their jet fuel and air travel footprint, supporting local SAF market development, positioning the region as a global hub for SAF innovation and accelerating the transition to net zero aviation.

### SAF market development

Through this collective effort, this campaign aims to build capabilities across the region to scale SAF and SAF certificates, thus aiming to boost investment, spur innovation, and create a robust framework for advancing the sustainability of flight in one of the world’s most dynamic aviation markets.
